This one hour class is a great introduction to the performing world and is catered to the young imaginative mind; beginning to create and experiment with characters, stage movement and vocal ensemble is just part of what makes learning fun! Students participate in a “team-like” atmosphere in preparation for participation in a full-length musical in a professional setting.

Each Shining Star class meets between 5:45pm-6:45pm. The beginning of the season starts with approx. 3-6 weeks of our Workshop Period (during this time we build our musical theatre skills, work together and find our confidence performing for others). After the Workshop Period, the class works on their group role(s) for the season’s show. The remainder of the season is called our Rehearsal Period and is spent in full rehearsals for the season’s show. During the Rehearsal Period, each Shining Star class will still meet between 5:45pm-6:45pm.
