Well, High School Musical has officially closed in the theatre and we would like to congratulate everyone on a wonderful performance, show week and season! Join us for our final Cast Party on March 3rd @ Country Heritage Park (please see the members only newsletter page for more details).
Also – as we close one show, we are about to begin our next! Aladdin Jr. rehearsals will be starting the week of March 3rd. Please see the members only newsletter page for the first newsletter of the season!
Thanks and see you all soon!
Good Morning Everyone,
With regards to the bus cancellations at schools this morning, all rehearsals and performances will still happen as scheduled. The “school performance” still acts as a dress rehearsal, so please arrive at the theatre in full hair/make-up and with costumes at your regular scheduled call time.
Thanks and see you there!
If anyone feels unsafe travelling in the current weather conditions, it is okay if you cannot make it in and will not affect any other shows/calls. The show will still be happening and will be a beneficial call for anyone who can make it in, but we understand if you cannot.
Thank you and again, please be safe out there.
Wanted to send out a quick note to let you know that the rehearsal/performance call scheduled tonight is still on (all casts called). Everything is continuing as scheduled. The show is set to begin at 7pm, so if possible, please arrive a few minutes early to get seated.
Thanks, be safe and see you tonight!
Hope everyone has been practicing lots and having a great weekend! As we approach this last week of rehearsals before we move into the theatre, we ask that all cast members come to rehearsal (starting Monday Feb 4) with their hair done as it should be done for the show (including wigs).
Hair and makeup requirements have been up on the website for some time now and in the most recent newsletter (with more details posted with the costumes @ www.theatremum.com). Please be sure to check these out and come prepared to your rehearsal (and don’t forget this is the last week to bring in backpacks/accessories if you see fit for your character – you cannot show up to the theatre with them without trying them out in rehearsal first).
See you this week!
Based on the previous message, we apologize for any confusion on class times. If you are unable to make it to rehearsal tonight (Mon, Jan 28), these are the other class times based on groups:
Shining Stars: Tuesday or Wednesday 6-7:15pm
Mini Stars: Tuesday-Thursday 6:30-7:45pm
Juniors/Seniors: Tuesday-Thursday 7-9pm or Sunday 3-5pm
Drive safe and stay warm!
Classes are still on for tonight! Though we understand if anyone feels unsafe travelling in the current weather, we ask that you please attend another rehearsal this week (tues-thurs 7-9pm or sun 3-5pm).
Thanks and be safe out there!
Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful break! We are now back into the swing of things with only a few more weeks before we are at the theatre.
Please note the following:
As we approach show week, please be sure to check the website for the newest newsletter (click here) for all updates. As well, don’t forget, all cast members are required to be at the theatre 4x during show week. These are mandatory. The show week schedule can be found on the website (click here).
As we get closer to show, please be aware that it is very important that all cast members attend their regular scheduled classes. In the last two weeks of rehearsals, missed classes still need to be made up on another night of the week, though you will not be permitted to perform on the stage space while we run through the show if it is not your regular cast (though performing dances and knowing entrance/exits can be done on the sides). This is so that all actors can feel comfortable with their own cast members and the spacing of their performance.
Finally, if your costume has you wearing a skirt with high knee socks or bare legs, it is important that you wear beige (skater/dancer) tights underneath.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you and have a great weekend! Happy practising!
There is a new newsletter (#3) for HSM Jr. and a show week schedule posted for ELF Jr. (all mandatory calls) in their respective sections on the website!
Hope your week is off to a great start. See you at rehearsal!
Hi Everyone! To clear up any confusion with the gender of characters, please keep in mind that the gender of most characters are interchangeable. Anyone who is playing the following characters can choose if they would like to play their character as male or female:
- Jack Scott
- Ms./Mr. Tenny
With any character in this show (including Troy, Chad, Zeke, Ryan, and Coach Bolton), any female with long hair playing male roles will be required to wear a short-hair male wig. There are still final Halloween costume sales happening if you need to pick up wigs!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let us know.
